Artist: Mark Kostabi. Medium: Original Serigraph. Title: Protection. Size: 35x35cm. Hand Signed and Numbered. Artist and Composer Mark Kostabi was born in Los Angeles in 1960 to Estonian immigrants. Raised in Whittier, California, he studied drawing and painting at California State University, Fullerton. Kostabi moved to New York in 1982, and by 1984, emerged as a leading figure in the East Village art scene where he cultivated a provocative media persona by publishing self-interviews reflecting on the commodification of contemporary art. By 1987, his work was widely exhibited in New York galleries as well as prominently throughout the United States, Japan, Germany and Australia. He inspired extensive international press coverage in 1988 when he founded Kostabi World, his Manhattan art studio, which employs numerous painting assistants and idea people. Beginning in the early 1990s Kostabi's work has been widely exhibited throughout Italy. Kostabi established a second home in Rome in 1996. If you win multiple items, we will combine shipping. We will pack your items using the safest materials and ship the items fully insured. Please allow up to 3 business days for order verification and processing, and additional 3-10 business days for delivery*. Once your order is processed, you will receive an email confirmation with an order number to track your order status.

All items must be shipped by Robinhood Auctions or an insured carrier (UPS, FedEx, or DHL). Will call is not available as we don't keep inventory at our offices due to security concerns. All order fulfilment takes place at a different secured location and as a result we are unable to allow items to be picked up.
We reserve the right to refuse any sale due to unforeseen circumstances including, but not limited to: damage to an item, out of the stock listing, misrepresented item, withdrawn consignment, or other such issues. In the event of a refused sale for which payment has already been received, a full refund will be issued equal to the purchase price of the given piece.
