Bid With Robinhood Auctions

Robinhood Auctions allows you to bid in the world’s best assortment of auctions for art, collectibles and jewelry. 

Search from thousands of items that match your criteria or browse by categories and get inspired. You can place bids in advance, or bid in live through robinhoodauctions.com and our IOS and Android apps. Participating in our auctions is simple and secure. It takes just a few steps.

Browse an auction on robinhoodauctions.com or on the Robinhood Auctions app. We encourage you to contact one of our specialists to guide you through the bidding process and help you bid with confidence.

Create your free Robinhood Auctions account. Once you’ve completed your profile on Robinhoodauctions.com or the Robinhood Auctions app, you can begin participating in our online auctions and following your favorites. (Note: your information is private and secure.)

Register for Auctions. To actively bid in an auction, you must register first by clicking ‘Register to Bid’ on catalog or item pages. You may also place absentee bids in advance of the auction time, which submits your registration.

Most registrations get approved within minutes. However, it’s best to register early in case additional information from you is required. Once approved, any absentee bids you may have placed will be active.

Place a bid on one of our bidding platforms (robinhoodauctions.com or the Robinhood Auctions app). Our auctions are posted about 2 weeks in advance to allow bidders time to research and ask questions before bidding. Please contact one of our team members for assistance.

There are two ways to bid:

Absentee bidding

You can place absentee bids in advance of the live auction. Our hassle-free and secured absentee bidding system ensures you get the best prices. Be sure to submit your maximum bid amount before the live auction begins. Your secret bid stays at the lowest minimum amount required to keep you in the lead, and increases (up to your max amount) only if another bidder places a competing bid.

Live bidding

Your chances of winning are greater when you bid during the live auction. Live auctions begin at the time indicated on the catalog and item pages. To bid live, simply visit the catalog or item pages during the auction starting time, and click ‘Enter Live Auction’. You will be taken to the bidding console where the live auction is taking place and you can participate in live.

Watch your bids. During the live auction, you will be notified on your bidding platform if your watched lots are coming up and if you are outbid. If you download the Robinhood Auctions app, please make sure you enable push notifications to never miss a lot.

You Won! You will receive an email notification shortly after the auction including your total charges along with our in-house fully insured shipping estimate.

Auction Terms

Total Sales Price

The final amount due will include the hammer price , the buyer’s premium and any local taxes. Framing for unframed artwork, packing, shipping, and insurance is not included.

Hammer Price

The winning bid for a lot at auction. It is the price upon which the auctioneer’s hammer falls, determining the sale price, but does not include the buyer’s premium.

Buyer’s premium (23%)

The amount above the hammer price that is paid as part of the total purchase price.

Shipping & Packing

We will ship all over the world with our in-house shipping department. At the end of the auction, we will provide a shipping estimate and add it to your final invoice. If you win multiple items, we will combine shipping. We will pack your items using the safest materials and ship the items fully insured. Please allow up to 3 business days for order verification and processing, and additional 3-10 business days for delivery*. Once your order is processed, you will receive an email confirmation with an order number to track your order status.

We do not ship to P.O. Boxes. Please include a physical shipping address at checkout to avoid delays. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns. Any shipping requests must be made in writing via email. Please email [email protected] and reference the invoice number.

Please note bidders can always opt-out from our in-house shipping department and arrange shipping. Please contact us for more info if you wish to arrange shipping on your own.

All items must be shipped by Robinhood Auctions or an insured carrier (UPS, FedEx, or DHL). Will call is not available as we don’t keep inventory at our offices due to security concerns. All order fulfilment takes place at a different secured location and as a result we are unable to allow items to be picked up.

If an item is received materially different from the auction listing and/or are damaged upon delivery, it qualifies for return or exchange on us. Prior to returning an item, the customer must obtain a Return Authorization from one of our representatives.

All items ship fully insured. To expedite your return, please keep all packing materials and proof of damage of the item and exterior packaging.

Payment Due

Robinhood Auctions Team will contact the Buyer within three (3) days of the completion of the auction. Complete payment is due upon receipt of notification of a successful bid and must be done by the Buyer no later than 7 days after an invoice is received. The title shall pass to the Buyer once payment in full has been made. All shipping charges will be borne by the Buyer. Any item that has not been paid within 7 days after the receipt of the notification may be put back on the auction block for sale. Any buyer that does not make payment will automatically be blocked from future auctions and will be filed with a dispute.

Methods of Payments

We accept all major credit cards as well as PayPal and wire transfers. We reserve the right to refuse certain types of payment.

Framing

Most work in our auctions is sold unframed. Please look at the images and description before you place a bid to verify if the lot is framed or unframed. You can always reach one of our specialists to verify.

Right to Refuse Sale

We reserve the right to refuse any sale due to unforeseen circumstances including, but not limited to: damage to an item, out-of-stock listing, misrepresented item, withdrawn consignment, or other such issues. In the event of a refused sale for which payment has already been received, a full refund will be issued equal to the purchase price of the given piece.
