Beautiful framed limited edition serigraph on wood panel by the artist Jose Royo titled "SOL Y SOMBRA". Hand signed and numbered by the artist. Very rare piece. Comes with certificate of authenticity from the gallery for further authentication. Image Size: 36"h x 28.5"w. Frame Size: 47"h x 40"w. Jose Royo was born in 1941 in Valencia, Spain, and began demonstrating his artistic talent at an early age. At the age of 9 his father employed private tutors to instruct Royo in drawing, painting, and sculpture, and when he turned 14, Royo entered the San Carlos Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Valencia. He continued his artistic studies privately with Aldolfo Ferrer Amblat, Chairman of Art Studies at the San Carlos Academy, and also visited the major museums in Europe at this time to study the famous masters-Velasquez, Goya, Renoir, Monet, and Sorolla among others. Through the 1980's Royo perfected his style of painting the Mediterranean and exhibited abroad, notably in London, Brussels, Copenhagen and Paris. He also participated in the International Geneva Art Fair.
