This is an etching on paper and copper etching plate used to create etching by Frederic Remington (1894-1978). Includes Letter of Authenticity. Measures approx. 30" x 22" (border), 16" x 10.5" (image). Copper plate measures 10x16 inches. Frederic Remington (1861 - 1909) was born in Canton, New York and became the foremost turn-of -the-century illustrator, painter, and sculptor of western action-packed subjects. In 1878 he entered the Yale School of Fine Arts for one year excelling at football and art. Regarding himself always as a fine artist, Remington regularly sent paintings to New York City from the West for exhibition at the National Academy of Design and the American Watercolor Society. Remington also exhibited in New York galleries where he had his last public show in 1926. Custom framed etching with copper etching plate. Framed dimension 30x50.
