Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Keith Haring developed an early fascination with art that guided his short but remarkable life. Haring loved comic artists like Charles Schultz and learned to draw from his dad, a cartoon hobbyist. In 1978, 20-year-old Haring moved to New York City.
